DP Porreca is an author/ poet, philosopher, entrepreneur, and family man. Porreca’s years as a soldier, scientist and software developer provide an interesting and multi-dimensional view of life’s adventures. As a poet, Porreca leverages his talent to share meaningful experiences and to entice higher-level thinking. He has been described as “an iconoclastic centrist and naturalist philosopher, who joyfully loves to make both ends of the political and academic spectrum as angry as possible.” In addition to being proficient in mathematical, physical and cognitive sciences, Porreca has specialized skills in information technology. He has been a creator and founder of a number of successful high-technology companies and is a well-respected member of the business community. Currently he is retired and lives with his wife Dona in San Diego, enjoying visits with his 5 children and 5 grandchildren. He spends most of his time helping young entrepreneurs and creators across the spectrum of the arts and sciences. He received his baccalaureate degree at Niagara University, and his masters’ degree at Alfred University.
