Claire Moore has recently retired from San Diego City Schools after a 32 year career in the field of education. She served as a regular education and seminar teacher at both the elementary and secondary levels, was a peer coach/staff developer, and school site administrator.

Claire always sought to be at the cutting edge of her field, and in 1995 was among the first 126 educators in the nation to be certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and was recognized at a White House reception. She is a multiple year honoree in Who's Who Among America's Teachers, having been nominated by former students for having "made a difference" in their lives. She nurtured not only students, but was a master teacher to 21 student teachers. Claire is married, has two children and two grandchildren, loves to read, travel, enjoys music of all genres, and truly relaxes by "digging in the dirt." She received her baccalaureate degree at the University of Wisconsin, her master's at National University, and has done extensive post graduate studies at both San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego.
